The best way to use up lots of beautiful fruit, in a comforting Winter dessert.
Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the chopped apples, blackberries, granulated sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, butter, rolled oats, light brown sugar, and salt until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the fruit mixture, covering it evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
